Wedding Videographer in Northern Ireland
I'm Philip, a Wedding Videographer in Northern Ireland based in Portadown, producing highlight films and traditional full-length videos as a filmmaker. I established my business in 2019, so I have over 7 years of experience.
I have decided to dedicate this website to my video and film-making business, so it will take a while to transfer pages and blogs across here from my other website.
Wedding Video - What You Get
You don’t just get 15 minutes from all-day filming; you receive all video footage with audio synced for superior sound. In addition to a highlights video, you also get all the raw footage filmed and audio recordings. My videos are generally 2 to 3 hours long. Coverage is filmed with my two 4K cameras. This is essential as you’ll get coverage from a different angle and perspective. Each video takes a while to craft, telling the story of your day.
You receive
A highlights cinematic teaser film
All full video footage = about 3 hours worth of footage
With ceremony, speeches and dancing coverage with two cameras.
All audio
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year and film naturally, relaxed, and I care about giving you lasting memories to remember one of the best days of your life.
Play my Video introduction
I tell the story of your day through video and audio, so if you are planning your ceremony and reception in County Armagh or further afield, contact me. I thought I’d get in front of the camera for a quick introduction and say hello to you from my office in Portadown. Check out my YouTube channel.

Wedding Video Highlights
A wedding video highlight can be shared on your socials. They are usually 8 to 13-minute-long films with audio synced to moments from parts of the day edited together. This is one video as opposed to multiple longer videos that can be quite time-consuming to watch all of.
The Best Wedding Videographer
Much of the day is filmed as your day unfolds, and I’m interested in incorporating words spoken on the day in your highlights, which adds some extra depth and emotion. Sometimes, it’s from the ceremony, speeches, a reading, vows or even letters given to each other.
I don’t have a talented team, but I bring years of experience, creativity, and skill to unique and special wedding films for my brides and grooms.
My approach to filmmaking is fun, relaxed, and unobtrusive, aiming to provide couples with heartwarming cinematic memories.
Invest in Full-Days Coverage
It’s always best to invest in full-day filming from the bridal preparations to the second dance, which is from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm.

Why should you hire a Wedding Videographer?
I run a film production company, so I’ll provide a breakdown as they contain not just one but several videos, some of which are filmed from certain camera angles that I will be showing you, breaking down and explaining this in the following section. I will focus on these examples. Some parts, like the ceremony and speeches, have two cameras recording, my own and another camera on a tripod filming wide, which I call a B camera.

Traditional Wedding Videos with a hint of Cinematic
I love creating modern, high-end cinematic films (which I call Cinematic NI) that capture the day. I aim to film in a cinematic way, but what does this mean? It has more to do with your 8 to 15-minute highlights film than your actual videos, which are usually filmed traditionally. You need a good quality lens for this, as you need to film mostly wide open at f/1.8 aperture, preferably with some movement and with something in the foreground that can be blurred out (which is why filming wide open at f/1.8 is ideal). A basic video just doesn’t cut it, I’m afraid.
It’s not just the way your cinematic film has been filmed; it’s also the way it’s been edited. Cheap videographers don’t spend much time editing - very little, which is a shame. On the other hand, cinematographers spend a lot of time in post-production editing to create a more polished film. There’s quite a big difference.
